About the Team
Mastercard’s Open Finance organization empowers financial institutions, fintechs, and digital platforms to access, analyze, and activate financial data responsibly. The Strategic Client Analytics team partners closely with clients to deliver insights that accelerate adoption, optimize product performance, and drive measurable business outcomes.
This Senior Data Analyst role is embedded within the Business Intelligence team but dedicated to supporting the Strategic Client Analytics function. You will operate at the intersection of BI development and client analytics — building impactful dashboards while also handling time‑sensitive client data needs.

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst who is equal parts technical and client-friendly. This role will be approximately 50% business intelligence (dashboard development, Snowflake/SQL work, data modelling, python coding) and 50% client analytics (ad‑hoc analysis, insights, funnel reporting, and urgent triage tasks).
You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy, execute critical client‑driven requests under tight timelines, and build reporting assets that influence how clients and internal teams understand Open Finance performance.
This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys solving complex analytical problems, and can translate data into compelling stories.

Key Responsibilities
Client Analytics (50%)
Execute, prioritize, and manage priority ad‑hoc client analytics requests using Snowflake and Tableau.
Perform funnel analysis, performance reporting, and account/customer/financial‑institution/transaction‑level analytics.
Conduct product analytics to evaluate usage trends and client performance.
Occasionally join client calls to walk stakeholders through reporting and help interpret insights.
Support clients across varying levels of technical maturity — from highly technical fintech partners to non‑technical enterprise clients.
Communicate insights with clarity, crafting data‑driven narratives that influence decision‑making.
Business Intelligence & Reporting (50%)
Build, maintain, and own key dashboards (internal and client‑facing) that support Open Finance reporting.
Use Snowflake SQL and Tableau/python applications to create scalable, reliable BI assets.
Partner with BI engineers, product teams, and client teams to enhance data pipelines and reporting capabilities.
Develop and maintain standardized reporting frameworks, including:
Benchmarking methodologies
New KPI definitions and analytics standards
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across North America, Europe, and Australia.

Required Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or client analytics roles.
Advanced SQL skills and hands‑on experience with Snowflake.
Strong proficiency in Tableau, including dashboard development and performance optimization.
Proficiency in using Python for data analysis and application development.
Demonstrated experience producing client‑ready insights and handling urgent analytical requests.
Proven ability to work independently, operate with urgency, and manage shifting priorities.
Strong data storytelling skills — able to translate complex data into clear narratives for business and technical audiences.
Awareness of Agentic AI tools, especially in the domain of Data Analytics.
Experience defining KPIs, developing analytics standards, or building benchmarking frameworks (required).
Comfortable working evening hours to collaborate with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fintech, open banking, financial data, or API‑driven products.
Prior experience in a client‑facing analytics role.
Familiarity with dbt, data modeling concepts, or version control (Git).
Exposure to transaction‑level or financial institution datasets.

Soft Skills & Working Style
Exceptional problem‑solving ability and analytical curiosity.
Ability to work with clients across a wide range of technical expertise.
Strong communication, influencing, and cross‑functional partnership skills.
A self‑starter mindset and ownership mentality.

Reporting Structure
Dual‑reporting model:
Business Intelligence Team Manager
Strategic Client Analytics Team Manager
Daily collaboration with:
Client Success
Client Teams
Product
Engineering
Regional teams across NA, EU, and Australia
