Mastercard Payment Services (MPS), a group of wholly owned subsidiary of Mastercard in Norway and Denmark, operates as an account-to-account (A2A) business, specialized in Bill Pay services in Norway and Denmark, along with Real-Time-Payment solutions across Norway, Denmark, Slovenia and Hungary.
The MPS Board has recently approved a new MPS strategy, aiming at pivoting from traditional bill payment into one-off payments, eCommerce and embedded finance as well as from A2A switching infrastructure to A2A services.
The existing Danish A2A Services is dependent on a close partnership and collaboration with the Danish Banks and Finans Danmark.

Overview
The combination of the current product portfolio and the new A2A Strategy require a greater emphasis on managing our long-lasting partnership with key stakeholders in the Financial Sector.
The role holder will play a pivotal role in strengthen existing partnership with key stakeholders in the Financial Sector such as Banks and industry organizations strengthening existing collaboration as well as explore new areas for collaboration.
The position will be responsible for managing relationships with our partners in the Financial Sector covering our A2A Services including ownership of the commercial contracts across bill pay and infrastructure services. Relationship management will happen in close collaboration with colleagues in the Northern Europe Region, working with the Financial Sector on non-A2A services.
You will work closely with a dedicated Service Delivery Manager, and the broader product organization to ensure continued focus on maintaining the long-lasting partnership with our partners in the Financial Sector.
This role will report directly to the head of the Danish MPS team and will be a member of the Danish Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
• Strengthen and grow strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the Financial Sector including banks and industry organizations by driving ongoing collaboration and identifying new areas of mutual value.
• Own the commercial relationship for A2A services, including management of contracts, pricing, commercial terms, and operational alignment across bill payment and infrastructure services.
• Coordinate governance forums and ensure clear communication, documentation, and follow up on decisions, risks, and actions related to Financial Sector partners.
• Collaborate closely with regional colleagues responsible for non A2A services to ensure a unified, consistent, and strategic approach to the broader Financial Sector ecosystem.
• Work in partnership with the Service Delivery Manager to monitor service performance, manage escalations, and safeguard a high quality customer experience.
• Provide market and stakeholder insights to inform product strategy, commercial models, and long term planning across the Danish MPS and broader product teams.
• Represent Denmark in internal leadership discussions, ensuring Financial Sector needs and opportunities are voiced, escalated, and integrated into broader strategic decisions.
All About You
• Extensive experience in working as an Account Manager for Financial Institutions in Denmark
• Strong network within key stakeholders in the Financial Sector in Denmark
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at senior levels
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer value, regulatory constraints, and long term business priorities
• Understanding of A2A Services across bill payments and infrastructure
• Structured and proactive approach to governance, documentation, and decision making.
• Relationship oriented with a collaborative and diplomatic working style.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and follow through.
