Manager , Account Management (Denmark)

Role Overview:

The Manager, Account Management is a key role in Denmark as we continue to build on our strong success in the local market. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and developing the overall relationship with one or several card‑issuing customers.

Acting as a trusted advisor and partner, you will support customers in building competitive financial services offerings, identify opportunities where Mastercard’s solutions can drive value, and execute against shared commercial objectives in a dynamic and internationally matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Account Ownership

  • Maintain primary responsibility for managing one or several strategic customer relationships within Denmark
  • Build strong, enduring partnerships with key stakeholders at customer organizations, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer strategies, priorities, and organizational dynamics

Sales, Pipeline & Growth

  • Drive sales of new Mastercard products, services, and solutions across assigned accounts
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and execute effectively to deliver commercial results
  • Identify and execute against mutually agreed objectives aligned to customers’ future strategies

Strategic & Commercial Contribution

  • Support customers in developing competitive payment offerings, including card programs, financial services, and new payment solutions
  • Contribute to revenue growth by identifying opportunities across issuers, acquirers, and merchants
  • Represent Mastercard with professionalism and credibility across all customer interactions

All About You

  • Curious mindset with a strong desire to learn, develop, and grow
  • Relevant experience in structured account management, preferably within card‑based payments or the broader payments ecosystem
  • Experience from roles within the financial sector involving new payment offerings, card programs, or financial services is an advantage
  • Proven and successful track record in sales and marketing of products and solutions to financial institutions, issuers, acquirers, and/or merchants in the Danish market
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive initiatives independently
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to structure, write, and present information clearly to internal and external audiences
  • Comfortable challenging existing paradigms in a constructive and diplomatic manner
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast‑moving, international, matrixed organization across functional teams
