A bit about the role 🤔:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a high-performing team building Immutable’s flagship product: Immutable Play 

Immutable Play is our all-in-one platform that helps studios build, launch, and scale Web3 games globally with ease and security. Immutable Passport solves one of Web3 gaming’s biggest challenges, onboarding, by offering a secure, non-custodial wallet with passwordless sign-in and automatic wallet creation.

In this role, you'll be a strong fullstack engineer, there will be a focus on excellent frontend skills while still having hands-on exposure to backend systems. You'll work closely with product, design, and even our founders to shape key product decisions. Owning tooling, tech, and architecture with the freedom to move fast and focus on impact. We work in small, collaborative squads (3–4 engineers), often pairing or mobbing on tasks. 

This opportunity is true product engineering. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineers, with a real seat at the table to help shape what we build. You don’t need Web3 experience, just strong engineering skills, a team-first mindset, and a curiosity for the future of digital ownership.

You'll Be Empowered To 🎮 :

• Work across Immutable Play- end-to-end platform for building and scaling web3 games (play.immutable.com)
• Focus on client-side components of Play , especially TypeScript, UI components
• Participate in team planning and product design sessions
• Help estimate and prioritise proposed features
• Work in an experimental environment, learning from customer feedback and iterating on products
• Tech Stack: Work across a range of bleeding-edge technologies: Typescript, React, Next.js, Go, Node.js,  AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Microservices, Event Oriented Systems, Terraform, gain exposure to Blockchain Development - Solidity, Use Cursor, the AI IDE to assist your productivity
• Experience or deep interest in taking active part in setting product direction for the team
• Engage with multiple diverse stakeholders, up to and including the Founders, to arrive at the best product decisions
• Work closely collaborating with your team members to ensure operational excellence for the services your team owns
• Continually work with your team to iterate on ways of working

We'd Love You To Bring 🤝:

• 6 + Full-Stack Software Engineering experience with extensive exposure to a product development environment
• Rapid prototype, passionate about delivering outstanding User Experience
• Startup experience is real bonus, energised by an ambiguous environment
• Think like a Product Engineer with solid product first approach
• Extensive front-end experience with TypeScript and React is a must
• Excellent back-end experience with Typescript (bonus for having Golang)
• Knowledge of System Design and designing a system that fulfils both user and business requirements.
• Experience in testing client-side applications at different levels (unit, component, app) is a must
• A passion for delivering fantastic products to users with care and empathy
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
• You are comfortable using AI tools to assist developments
• The ability to teach best practices to junior team members
• Have worked in a start-up or high-growth tech environment, where you’ve worn multiple hats and thrived in ambiguity
• Knowledge or an interest in the Web3 space

• AdTech data-driven advertising, real-time auctions, attribution.
• GameTech; player systems, rewards, LiveOps, game economies.
• MarTech; user segmentation, lifecycle journeys, automation, personalisation.
• Exposure to back-end engineering with AWS is highly desirable
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies or Web3 technologies (e.g. experience with Ethereum, smart contracts, or crypto wallets)
