We are hiring a deeply technical, hands-on engineering leader to drive the development projects under IBGT Open Account Trade (OAT). This role is suited to a strong full stack engineer who can own a stream end to end, lead one or more engineering squads, and stay close to architecture, design, and implementation.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of modern trade finance & operation systems.
- Act as a hands-on, full stack technical leader for one or more engineering squads, driving strong technical execution and engineering standards.
- Design scalable distributed solutions across microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and micro-frontend architectures.
- Own solution design and engineering delivery for your area, ensuring alignment with broader platform and architecture direction.
- Work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to turn complex requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Contribute directly to key design decisions, implementation approaches, and critical delivery paths.
- Evaluate and apply modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tools, where they can improve speed, quality, and developer effectiveness.
Education and Relevant Experience
- Experience: 5-8 years full stack engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java for high-performance systems, strong experience with SSM / Spring Boot, microservices, CI/CD.
- Database: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL storage systems.
- Performance Optimization: Experience in low-latency architectures, multithreading, and high-throughput systems.
- Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of trade finance, supply chain finance, regulatory and risk management.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field
