Middle DevOps Engineer

<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p><span>We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to work inside the Platform team, to manage a mixture of services both on and off the cloud, primarily running on Kubernetes. You will report into the DevOps Lead and support a mixture of software and services.</span></p><div><p>This is a fully remote role, and we welcome applications from anywhere in Europe.</p><p>More details:<span> </span><a target="_blank" href="http://crystalintelligence.com">crystalintelligence.com</a><span><br><br><strong>Duties and responsibilities:</strong></span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Manage (and build) projects and hybrid infrastructure</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Configure and maintain internal services</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Build and maintain monitoring systems</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Build and deploy environments</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Drive bare-metal deployment</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Drive performance and integration testing</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Improve the current infrastructure</span></p></li></ul><p></p></div><div><p><strong>Required:</strong></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Continuous experience in DevOps/IT system administration for more than 4 years</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Knowledge and practical experience with deployment and administration of Unix/Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Centos)</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Good understanding of common IT security practices</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience in building and maintaining hybrid infrastructures</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience implementing CI/CD (Github actions a plus)</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Saltstack, etc.)</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with virtualisation and containerisation tools</span></p></li></ul></div><div><div><ul><li><p><span>Ability to perform root cause analysis for production errors</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC2 requirements and CIS benchmarks</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Working knowledge of databases and clustering (SQL, NoSQL)</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Proficiency in cloud-based DevOps practices, specifically in Terraform, IaC, PaC</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>K8s experience, deploying, testing and managing a cluster</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Proficient understanding of Git</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with log management tools</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Good skills in scripting languages (Bash, Python etc.)</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with application &amp; infrastructure monitoring in production environment</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Good understanding of a software development process, everyday duties will include cooperation with both SW development and QA teams</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Knowledge and practical experience in Advanced Networking including building and supporting local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, advanced routing</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Availability to be on call 24/7 (only in case of a disaster)</span></p></li></ul><p><br><strong>Would be a plus:</strong></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with AWS/GCP stack will be an advantage</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Experience with Microsoft 365 stack will be an advantage</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Tech stack:</strong></p></div><ul><li><p><span><strong>Languages:</strong> Terraform, Python, Kubernetes YAML</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong>Database:</strong> PostgreSQL</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong>Platform:</strong> Talos, Proxmox</span></p></li></ul></div>
