BitGo is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal based in our Sioux Falls location to provide critical legal and operational support as the company continues to scale. With increasing workload across legal, governance, and compliance workstreams, this role will ensure timely execution, effective documentation control, and improved operational throughput for the Legal team. The Paralegal will support document management, entity filings, contract administration, board and committee materials, and day-to-day governance and compliance tasks. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage document control processes, including organization, versioning, tracking, and repository maintenance for legal, compliance, and governance documents.
  • Support entity management activities, including state filings, annual reports, business licenses, corporate records, and document preparation.
  • Maintain BitGo’s contract lifecycle workflows, including intake, routing, signature coordination, archiving, and ongoing administration.
  • Oversee the upcoming contract signing process across the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Assist in preparing board and committee materials, including agendas, resolutions, minutes, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day support on compliance and governance matters in coordination with Legal, Trust, and Finance teams.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to digital assets, financial services, corporate governance, and operational compliance.
  • Coordinate state, federal, and international filings (e.g., MSB, VASP, trust licensing, corporate registrations).
  • Assist with responses to subpoenas, regulatory requests, and formal information inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, support workflows, and ensure alignment on legal and operational requirements.
  • Maintain calendars, track deadlines, schedule meetings, and support ongoing project management for legal deliverables.
  • Liaise with external counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support various legal and operational matters.
  • Support special projects related to scaling legal operations, corporate initiatives, product development, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or accredited paralegal certificate required.
  • 2–5+ years of paralegal, legal assistant, or legal operations experience; experience in fintech, financial services, digital assets, or fast-paced corporate environments is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and corporate governance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with document management systems and contract lifecycle management tools (Ironclad, DocuSign, or similar preferred).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and independence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Must be able to work onsite full-time in New York.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $55,000 - $85,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined below are also a part of this role's package.
