About Alpen Labs

Alpen Labs is a New York–based startup founded in 2022 by four MIT alumni. Our mission is to build universal rails for money by enabling a scalable, private, and programmable Bitcoin ecosystem. We’re making this vision a reality through deep research and cutting-edge work in zero-knowledge cryptography and offchain systems - all while staying true to Bitcoin’s core values.

This work isn’t just technical - it’s societal. We see Bitcoin as a foundation for freedom, privacy, and global prosperity. Our team includes engineers and researchers from places like Blockstream Research, Palantir, and Nethermind. Now, we’re looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey.
