The team is backed by some of the world’s leading VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, etc.) and is supported by an expert group of advisors including the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and a co-founder of CityMD.

Nitra maintains a hybrid work policy, with team members working from the office four days per week and Wednesdays designated as a work-from-home day.

We're looking for:

  • A Lead Front-End Engineer with experience in Fintech or marketplaces who will shape the direction of our front-end practice while being at the forefront of our mission to bring better finance solutions to millions of businesses in the United States. You will not only be building user experiences yourself but also mentoring, guiding, and scaling a team of engineers to deliver on an ambitious roadmap of innovative banking and SaaS products.

***Note: You must be based out of Taipei for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fulfill all expectations of the non-lead role.
  • Own and design database schemas and APIs for large-scale features or for a specific product/domain they lead.
  • Closely collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to understand the business goal, and come up with BE designs that achieve the goal efficiently.
  • Define, document, and communicate coding standards and architectural guidelines to maintain long-term code quality and system consistency.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them understand and apply engineering standards, best practices, and design principles.
  • Actively identify technical risks and drive decisions to unblock the team.

You have:

  • Fluency in English
  • Able to have flexible working hours to collaborate with our NY office
  • Deep understanding of Fintech, specifically banking payments
  • Deep experience with and understanding of:
  • JavaScript (5+ years)
  • Node.js (5+ years)
  • React or Vue.js framework (4+ years)
  • APIs (5+ years)
  • Building fintech web applications (1+ years)
  • Front-end architecture (2+ years)
  • UX (2+ years)
  • UI (2+ years)

The base salary range for this full-time position is $1.8m NTD - $2.4m NTD + equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all Taipei locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and relevant training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only.
