Position details

The Business Analyst, Capital Markets Group Support will provide holistic business and related support to the Capital Markets Group (CMG), working closely with senior originators to enhance productivity across a broad range of capital markets activities.

The role is primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation of marketing materials, credit and industry research, data management, and other ad-hoc workstreams based on evolving business requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

Marketing & Pitchbook Support

  • Prepare, format, and maintain client pitchbooks, requests for proposal (RFPs), and other presentation materials.
  • Ensure presentations adhere to internal branding, formatting, and quality standards.
  • Convert technical and financial information into clear, professional presentation materials suitable for external discussions.
  • Update and customize materials using internal resources, market intelligence, and precedents.
  • Coordinate revisions and version control of presentations and supporting documents.

Market Research & Knowledge Management

  • Assist with regular market updates covering loan, bond, and other relevant capital market developments.
  • Build and maintain databases of precedent transactions, pricing benchmarks, and financing structures.
  • Gather and analyse country, industry, and global macroeconomic data.
  • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the CMG platform.

Credit & Transaction Analysis Support

  • Support preparation of credit memos, internal committee papers, and other required workstreams.
  • Conduct financial and credit analysis, including the review of financial statements, peer benchmarking and comparable analysis.

Team Support

  • Work closely with senior originators to support ongoing business development and transaction execution activities.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required.
  • Support cross-product and cross-sector projects within the broader corporate and investment banking franchise.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • MBA/ CA or equivalent.       
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or progress towards such qualifications would be advantageous.

Experience

  • ·         2-4 years of experience in banking, capital markets, corporate finance, credit analysis, consulting, research, financial services, or a related analytical role.

Technical Skill:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.·        
  • Advanced presentation formatting and production capabilities.·        
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and interpret financial statements.·        
  • Experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Dealogic, or similar platforms is advantageous.
