Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Specialist, Account Management to support our client accounts in Malaysia. This is a junior, early career role, well suited for individuals with 1–3 years of experience in client services, account support, or commercial operations.

The role focuses on supporting existing client relationships, coordinating internal activities, and helping ensure clients receive consistent, high quality service from Mastercard. This role provides a strong entry point into account management and commercial roles at Mastercard, offering long‑term development opportunities into broader sales and account ownership positions.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Client Support
• Support Account Managers in maintaining relationships with assigned clients.
• Help respond to day to day client queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Build an understanding of client priorities, products, and use of Mastercard solutions.
Account Operations & Coordination
• Assist with day to day account activities, including tracking action items, coordinating internal inputs, and managing follow ups.
• Help prepare meeting agendas, notes, and summaries for client meetings.
• Support the organisation of client engagements, reviews, and regular check ins.
Reporting & Analysis
• Assist in preparing basic account reports, performance summaries, and usage insights.
• Work with internal data and financial information to support account tracking and internal updates.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and internal tools.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal teams such as product, operations, finance, and marketing to support client needs.
• Help ensure information flows smoothly between internal partners and client teams.
Learning & Development
• Stay up to date on Mastercard products, services, and relevant market developments.
• Continuously develop knowledge of the payments and financial services industry through on the job learning and training.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in client services or commercial roles.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working with data, numbers, and basic financial concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
• Interest in payments, fintech, or financial services is an advantage.
• Proficiency in a local language i.e. Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin will be advantageous.
• A collaborative, curious, and eager to learn mindset.
