Senior Analyst, Global Public Sector, Operations
Locations: Waterloo
The Mastercard Global Public Sector team works with governments to create sustainable, inclusive, and efficient economies while achieving commercial success. Our market leaders are supported by a central team, specializing in Urban Mobility, Government Payment Flows, Tourism, and Cybersecurity. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team to support the operations required to drive global success.
Role Overview
As the Sr Analyst, Global Public Sector, Operations, your role will be key to better management of the administration, planning and financial needs of the team, and will leverage your strong background in reporting and analysis, budgeting, and corporate policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate raw data into actionable financial insights.
• Build scalable financial models and tracking tools.
• Support monthly and quarterly performance tracking.
• Partner with Finance and regional teams to ensure alignment on methodologies and reporting consistency.
• Produce clear, executive-ready outputs to inform leadership decisions.
• Track, manage, and report on key team KPIs at both global and regional levels.
• Use dashboards to extract data and build performance analysis and insights.
• Ensure that senior staff meetings are planned; agendas prepared; minutes recorded and appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• Partner with finance to monitor the budget.
• Support all verticals with analytics and reporting – both planned and ad hoc.
• Support the development and maintenance of training materials/programs, process documentation and other resources related to public sector commercial sales.
• Maintain shared document repository and drives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
All About You:
• Min 5 years of experience in finance or general business and project management in complex environments.
• Detail-oriented, structured thinker with strong ownership mindset and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to connect data → insight → business implication, coupled with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong foundation in finance, consulting, or analytics.
• Advanced Excel / modeling skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis) as well as Powerpoint skills, and proficiency with Agentic research and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (e.g., reporting, dashboards, and data exports) preferred
• Travel may be required.
