Title and Summary
Manager, Product management
The Services team’s products and solutions fuel growth for partners globally by providing cutting-edge services across Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, Business and Market Insights, and Open Banking. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast, our agile product teams deliver end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base.
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Product Management to join the Payment Reconciliation Intelligence (PRI) global product team. In this critical leadership role, you will drive the modernization of Mastercard’s Operational Reporting (OR) platform by ensuring a cohesive, scalable, and future-ready reporting ecosystem.
You will partner closely with Product, Technology, Commercialization, and other internal stakeholders to align upcoming reporting changes, avoid duplicative efforts or competition with existing products, and establish the OR platform as the single access point for all operational customer reporting.
In addition to modernization efforts, this leader will focus on identifying new strategic opportunities and synergies across products, particularly leveraging customized reporting and data insights to enhance our overall product portfolio and deliver additional value to customers.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal business partners is vital to ensure cross-product alignment, a partnership driven platform strategy, and long-term success in delivering unified reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate brings a strong platform mindset, excellent stakeholder leadership skills, and experience executing complex initiatives at global scale.
Product Managers in Services at Mastercard:
• Build data-driven products that enable customers to extract meaningful, actionable insights from their data.
• Translate customer needs and internal strategy into scalable, platform-driven solutions.
• Balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery and commercial realities.
• Act as integrators and relationship builders across Product, Technology, Commercialization, and Sales, ensuring teams work in concert.
• Drive globally relevant solutions while accounting for regional needs and trade-offs.
• Set product direction collaboratively, ensuring alignment across adjacent products and platforms to maximize overall portfolio value.
Role
In this role, you will:
• Lead the strategy and execution of reporting modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy reporting technology to modern infrastructure with minimal customer disruption.
• Define and drive a clear migration roadmap, including sequencing, dependencies, customer impact considerations, and success metrics.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across Product, Commercialization, Sales, Technology, and adjacent reporting teams to ensure alignment on upcoming changes and foster broad buy-in.
• Ensure reporting changes and new capabilities avoid competing with existing products, instead maximizing overall portfolio value through complementary offerings.
• Establish the OR platform as the single, consistent access point for operational customer reporting, aligning user experiences, entitlements, and delivery models across the platform.
• Work closely with Product Development, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and other stakeholders to translate platform needs and migration requirements into actionable user stories and executable roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and reuse across reporting capabilities, leveraging synergies across product lines to create more unified and powerful reporting solutions.
• Support go-to-market planning by providing clear positioning, customer communication strategies, and internal enablement materials related to reporting changes and new platform capabilities.
• Communicate product vision, strategy, and migration progress clearly across all levels of the organization including executive stakeholders. Ensuring transparency and shared understanding of goals and outcomes.
• Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships with internal partners (Product, Technology, Commercialization, Sales, etc.) to drive adoption, alignment on strategy, and long-term success through a partnership-driven approach.
Basic Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of data-driven products, reporting platforms, and analytics solutions.
• Experience leading or contributing to product migrations, platform consolidation efforts, or legacy modernization initiatives.
• Conceptual understanding of APIs, data flows, batch processing, and reporting architectures.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs related to scalability, performance, maintainability, and long-term platform sustainability.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering, TPMs, and architecture teams to deliver product requirements.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and customer usage patterns to inform migration prioritization and product decisions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and SaaS delivery models (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
All About You
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale. Ideally involving platform strategy, technology migrations, or product consolidation efforts.
• Demonstrated strength in relationship management, with experience building trusted partnerships across Product, Technology, Commercialization, Sales, and other internal teams to drive alignment, manage dependencies, and deliver outcomes in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance customer needs, platform health, cross-product alignment, and commercial impact when making decisions.
• Experience in Agile product management, ideally within payments, financial services, or data/reporting products.
• Clear, confident communicator with strong executive presence and storytelling ability.
• Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple interdependent workstreams simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Familiarity with Mastercard products, operational reporting platforms, and network-enabled data products is a plus.
