Analyst, Equity Compensation

Overview
Mastercard's Equity Compensation team is responsible for the administration of global equity programs, including Restricted Stock, Performance Stock, Stock Options, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). As an Analyst, Equity Compensation, you will support the operational delivery of these programs through accurate administration, compliance oversight, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous process improvement, helping ensure a seamless employee experience.
Role
• Support the administration of global equity programs, including annual grants, off-cycle grants, vesting events, stock option exercises, and ESPP activities.
• Review and validate equity transactions, identify and resolve exceptions, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Track country-specific requirements and facilitate appropriate notifications to payroll, trustees, and other partners.
• Assist with compliance activities, including tax withholding reviews, tax rate updates, audit support, SOX controls, and documentation requirements.
• Perform data validation, reconciliations, and testing of equity events and system outputs to ensure data integrity and operational accuracy.
• Respond to employee and stakeholder inquiries and provide support during high-volume grant, vesting, and enrollment cycles.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external providers to support the successful execution of equity programs and resolve operational issues.
• Prepare reports and support stakeholder requests related to equity program participation and activity.
• Assist in documenting end-to-end equity processes and developing repeatable playbooks to improve consistency and scalability
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing manual work, and strengthening delivery controls aligned with team transformation efforts
All About You
• 2- 5 years of experience in equity compensation administration or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Analytical mindset with the ability to work with data, validate outputs, and identify discrepancies
• Basic understanding of equity compensation programs
• Experience working with third-party vendors or stock plan administration platforms preferred
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams
• Proven ability to operate with a risk and control mindset in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
