About The Role: 

The Senior DataOps Engineer I will be responsible for managing the full data lifecycle including designing and implementing data pipelines, the associated infrastructure, and collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure data requirements are met. The role will involve the end-to-end management of data-related infrastructure and applications, ensuring that data is available, secure, and high-quality for analysis and decision-making. Given the variety of data that will be processed it is expected that this role will have familiarity with and assist in maintaining our data collection services and infrastructure.

Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:

● Interpreting business needs to facilitate data collection, pipelines, and processing

● Ensuring the robustness of systems and services

● Problem management (issue tracking, ticketing)

● Change management (risk mitigation)

● Effective in a highly collaborative cross functional team environment using Git with a Pull Request workflow

● Exhibit a desire for building software sustainably with modern techniques and industry best practices

● This role will need to interface with various business stakeholders to understand their data requirements in order to effectively solve their needs

● And other duties as assigned

About You:

● Have 4-6+ years of experience in the field of Software Engineering

● Python

● ETL experience (Luigi/Airflow)

● Google BigQuery experience

● Data Warehouse experience (GCP based preferred)

● Linux SysAdmin familiarity

● Cloud provider experience (GCP preferred)

● SQL and RDB experience (PostgreSQL preferred)

● Data Reporting/Visualization experience (Grafana, Tableau, Metabase)

Nice to Haves:

● Time Series DB experience (InfluxDB preferred)

● DevOps experience

● A love of Factorio

● Bitcoin/Crypt
