The Problems You'll Solve

As a Treasury Associate, you’ll be an integral part of Carta’s Fund Administration business supporting a global FA Treasury team—owning daily operational processes while driving improvements that enhance the overall client experience. Beyond executing payments and managing bank administration tasks, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies, contribute to scalable solutions, and help shape how we support fund operations at scale.

  • Own end-to-end payment execution workflows, including initiating and reviewing ACH / Wire and FX payments for client approval
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering and Operations to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and influence product roadmaps
  • Communicate with clients and external stakeholders to address inquiries and provide a high-quality support experience
  • Lead or support the opening and setup of new client bank accounts in partnership with Onboarding and Implementation teams
  • Establish and maintain bank connectivity, ensuring transactions are accurately uploaded to the Carta platform
  • Proactively identify operational gaps, risks and support the development of scalable solutions
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to streamline payment processing, exception triage, and reporting — and actively contribute to building scalable AI workflows for the team.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal reporting, documentation, playbooks, and training resources
  • Support data analysis and reporting needs using Excel, Metabase, Looker and other internal data tools
  • Verify vendor / payee wire instructions, collect necessary documentation (e.g., W-9s), and ensure compliance with internal controls

About You

  • 2–5 years of experience in Treasury, banking operations, or payment processing, with an interest in growing into more strategic or technical roles
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership over assigned workflows
  • Clear verbal and written communicator who is comfortable interacting directly with clients and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficient in Excel and adaptable to learning tools like Looker, Salesforce, or other internal platforms
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, and proposing ideas for process improvement
  • Experience creating or improving operational workflows and processes in fast-paced environments
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong appetite for continuous learning and growth
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; naturally curious and solution-oriented
  • Interested in building a long-term career in Treasury, Fund Administration, or fintech operations
  • Comfortable using or learning AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Understanding of Fund Administration is a plus
